Fellow Hibernians,
The 2026 HGA season is more than half completed, and not surprisingly, everything is grand.
With all of our major competitions in full swing, we are yet to be kicked off any golf course or out of any adjacent drinking establishments. Knock wood.
Off the course we have celebrated some milestone:
Happy Birthday Aiden!

Eighty years ago last May in County Sligo our friend and founding Hibernian Aiden Kilkoine was born.

Here is a slightly older Aiden with his best friend Prince. (Aiden is on the right.)

To celebrate the occasion a party was thrown at Zody’s, where Aiden was surrounded by family, good friends, and Kevin McColgan.
Billy Mulhall can scratch one more thing off his bucket list.
Last June, playing the 146-yard par-3 fourth at Wee Burn Country Club, brandishing his eight-iron, Billy achieved a dream he thought unattainable. Yes, he finally got his hole-in-one.
Here is some photographic “evidence” of his achievment. (Audio may be NSFW.)

Many Hibernians who have asked Billy to help compute Stapleford points know that sometimes he can have a complicated relationship with arithmetic. But on this occasion his math skills were outstanding.
You see, Billy got his hole-in-one at a charity outing, where the drinks were already free. Genius, Billy, pure mathematical genius.
See a few of you brave souls on Sunday at Richter Park.
