Very impressive, John. It seems that, in addition to kicking the butts of a bunch of old guys on the weekend, John can also dominate kids his own age during the week.Last Saturday we were back at Brennan for the first round of the Club Championship, and some of the other usual silliness.

Shot of the Day:
As everyone knows, play slows down on the long par-three fifteenth at Brennan, and often there is more that one group on the tee box. That was the case on Saturday when Paul Atkinson’s group watched Omar Zabian and his group tee off. When it was Omar’s turn to hit, he sent a beautiful arcing shot to the front of the green that rolled directly toward the flag, almost going in. For a second it looked like the two groups were going to witness the near impossible, a hole-in-one on fifteen. When the ball settled, Omar had an almost certain closest-to-the-pin winner. The tee box was still buzzing when Omar’s group cleared the green and it was Paul’s turn to hit. Paul’s well-struck ball briefly flirted with the bunker on the left, then gently faded toward the flag and settled four feet two inches from the it, three feet closer than Omar’s. Shouts of “take that, Omar” were heard, but not from Paul. Congratulations, Paul, for your fifty dollar prize and the coveted honor of shot of the day.
Below is the group that had the most fun:

No prize money is associated with that honor.See you all on Sunday at Phillip $ Rottelli. Bring cash.
