For our last event, the Boys were back at E. Gerry for another big day of golf and laughs.

The winners:

Three single matches were played in the ongoing battle for the Club Championship and three tickets were punched to the Elite Eight.
Former champion Sean Collins bested Danny Fay 3 and 2.
Noel Connolly defeated John Hogan 3 and 1.
And in a tight match, Derek Williams just snuck past Brendan Brady 5 and 4.

As you can see, Noel McQuillan had a big day. Forty- four points is a lot of points, but since Saturday’s outing was a major, he will notch forty-nine points for the day. That should improve the player of the year standing for the lanky lad from Cavan.

Our next outing is this Saturday at Fairchild Wheeler. We will be competing in doubles, so a ham and eggs breakfast is recommended. See you then.
