Closest to the pin:
3rd hole, Noel Connolly $50
6th hole, Paul Orsino $50
12th hole Kevin McColgan $50
17th Paul Atkinson $50
Low Gross:
Ian Duggan $20

The Match of the day was the doubles battle of Paul Atkinson and Noel Connolly, versus Sean Collins and Steve McDonough.
McDonough, taking a break from freelance pharmacology, started out on fire, racking up 24 points on the front nine. Paul and Noel played great, as evidenced by their winning of the field wide doubles, but they couldn’t get by the brilliant ham and egging of Sean and Steve. McDonough won the match on 18 holing a sphincter tightening seven foot par putt. Collins remained calm, cool and upright for all eighteen holes.

After the golf the boys had some refreshments in the Tashua clubhouse that was experiencing an unfortunate power outage. The lads never looked more handsome.

See you on June 24 at Philip Jo Rotella Golf Course, the sight of our last inter-club match. Yes, this is the same course that two weeks ago, our inter-club team, under the guidance of Captain Noel McNamara, had an huge comeback victory over McKeown’s. The Hibs were down three after the doubles, but roared back in singles to finally prevail 6 1/2 to 5 1/2.

It’s a fun course. Get ready to three putt.
