Fellow Hibernians,
Sure, we got rained out last Saturday, but that doesn’t mean there is no Hibernian news!
Last week long time member Jerry Brennan shot an 87, one shot short of his personal best.
At first glance shooting an 87 at E. Gaynor Brennan might not seem like such a big deal. Heck, even Steven McDounough has done it.
Jerry’s 87 is noteworthy because Jerry, despite his youthful appearance, turns 82 this September. Jerry Brennan is getting mighty close to shooting his age.
Now this 87 was no cheap 87. Jerry was playing with Kevin McColgan, so we know there were no conceded putts.
The HGA servers have been buzzing for days running models on when Jerry may achieve this awesome goal. Our best estimates say that it is likely to occur on a sunny day in the very near future.
In the mean time, attaboy Jerry! Keep it up.
See you all on Sunday at Sterling for a hopefully dry Irish Rumble.
